Wenzel-MACS-R is a modular communication system for railway applications, outstanding suited for use in control rooms of Train Control Centres (TCC). Based on decentralised archtitecture the Wenzel-MACS-R allows flexible and uncomplicated cross-linking of individual dispatcher workstations at remote locations to TCC.
Integrating the various communication routes via a uniform system reduces the operation costs significantly. Legacy systems can be connected and functionally integrated to Wenzel-MACS-R.
The modular design of the Wenzel-MACS-R and its versatile insert cards for a variety of subscribers and network interfaces guarantees high protection of investments.
Thanks to redundant network concepts Wenzel-MACS-R ensures high reliability. The system redundancy comprises self-restoring network topologies assuring the redundancy of central control components and local operation of communication in the event of network failures.
An Operation and Maintenance Centre (OMC) provides the management capacibilities for the entire system. The central configuration of the Wenzel-MACS-R dispatcher allows an easy installation at any GSM-R site.
