GSM-R Industry Group
In 2000 the GSM-R Industry Group was founded as an independent organization on the initiative of the GSM-R industry suppliers. The main objective of this group is the active promotion of GSM-R technology as a global platform for railway communication.
The group currently consists of nine member companies, which are all providers of GSM-R products, with European and global references in commercial service. The principles of cooperation are defined in the agreement Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed by all members.
The GSM-R Industry Group is represented by the speaker and his deputy. These positions rotate among the members every 9 months. Since October 2011, Wenzel Elektronik has taken over the deputy position.
